If you have large hands, have someone with smaller fingers around
This is by far the best heater we have ever had, but we struggled getting it to stay up on the tripod. My husband is strong but has large fingers and couldn’t get the wing nut tight enough. I used a small pair of pliers and all my might to tighten them enough to accomplish this so it would. Other than that, it is a great heater

Did not last
Died in 3 months. When it did work it only heats a very small area directly in front of it. I do not recommend this as an outdoor use heater. ***Update 3/29: Customer service is great. They reached out to me and sent a replacement heater immediately. I have not used it outside yet, but I am hoping that it works and lasts longer than the 1st one.

Remote doesn’t work but heat seems decent
I even replaced the battery but the remote they sent does not work. The instructions didn’t show exact parts and were a bit lacking. But the heat is decent.

Suprisingly wonderful!
In the photos, the stand looked quite flimsy. When the heater arrived, I was surprised to find that the stand is a very well-made tripod stand. It is as good as the expensive camera tripods that I own. We used this heater on the back patio for the Florida winter and it produces amazing heat, never overheated, and kept us quite warm!

Hot enough and portable
This heater was easy to assemble and feels stable. For the outdoors, depending on the area and how open, this is a good heater for maybe 50s and up. Indoors, it’s a perfect complement to areas that can’t be reached easily by the central heat. I like how you easily move it in or out of the house. Overall, a pretty good heater.

Works well
I ordered this to keep my kids warm while playing in the backyard, and it works great for the purpose. It is obviously not meant for big spaces but works great nonetheless. Takes the chill off when on the patio in SoCal
Bought this heater to keep me warm when sitting on the patio. I general, the SoCal winter night is like 50-60f and this allows me to come out with a short sleeve shirt and enjoy the night. If I put my hand 5” from it, I can keep it there about 4 seconds before I need to pull it back when the theater is on HI. I find that sitting about 3’ from it is pretty comfy. Six feet is about the furthest I sit from it to get any use out of it. I got the remote version, it works fine. The concept is like a car. You turn it on and you’re in Park. You put in in LO and that’s first gear. Put it in HI and you’re in second. This operation is safest and good if you use smart plugs. At first, I thought that I might mount it but after some use, I think I like the mobility of the stand. I also have a tall propane heater and I think this will be much more efficient than using it every night. I’m out with my small dog when we let her out at night because there are a lot of coyotes out here and this heater seems to be a good purchase. Pretty nice looking for the inexpensive price as well.

Serves its purpose
I really enjoy having this heater on my front porch. It doesn’t make it “warm” outside in the 40° weather we’ve been having, but it does make it “comfortable”. The heat output is very similar to a campfire…the closer you are to it, the more warmth you get as long as nothing is between you and the heater. I will likely purchase another one to have heat coming from multiple directions. Overall easy to assemble and a product worth the money spent.

Excellent product for the price
This heater and its stand actually exceeded my expectations at this price. Just two heating levels, but that is sufficient. Enough power to keep two people warm in 50 degree ambient as long as the air is still. The remote works very well. The stand is much sturdier than I expected. Some assembly required, but very simple to attach it to the stand.

Shipping issue
I got this for my job site. When the package arived it looked like a bear got to it. The corner of the box was ripped open. I opened the box and the stand was missing and the heater itself look like it was pulled from the trash and repackaged. I did not bother to test it. I am sending back for a refund.I do plan to purchase this again. We have one of these on a different site and it works amazing. These realy are good heaters. I just wish the packaging was better.

Great product and great product support from vendor
I bought one heater and loved it but the remote didn’t work. The vendor responded very swiftly and sent a new remote out. I liked it so much I bought two heaters. Be sure to understand your circuit break amp size when using 2 heaters on high(1500 watts). Fortunately between the sockets on the house and the sockets built into the patio I can split the heaters so when I need to run them at high I can do that. They make great heat and at mid to high 40 degrees Fahrenheit I’ve only needed to run them both at low. Great for my patio.

Good Heater For The Price

3rd update. While customer service is great.
Might be my mistake. Thought it might keep me warm as long as I was pretty close to it but you will have to be right on top of it. Will only warm 1 person at a timeUPDATE: customer service got with me on this issue and sent me a replacement heater. Haven’t had a chance to try it yet but just to have a company that cares will say a lot about them. Will also buy other items from this company.Third update. While customer service was great. The second heater they sent was plug straight into the wall with nothing else plugged in and sparked and caught fire. This was inside the living room. They did heat nice for the little time we could use it but will not help outside.

Broken after 11 months of light use
I purchased this outdoor heater about 11 months ago and I turn it on a few days ago and the filament seems like it burned out like a lightbulb gone bad. I can’t find any replacement parts, but I hope that the manufacturer reads this and responds to it.

no heat
I really wanted this to work, it looks great, very sturdy, nice tripod stand.Only one fault- “not enough heat” Used it on partially enclosed patio just hoping temperature would be acceptable for the transition time between fall and winter, did not work.I could place my hand within three to four inches of the unit with the highest temperature setting, my hand would not even get warm.May be ok in a shop or something but not for the advertised patio use.

How infrared heaters work…
2022-01-18. Electric Patio Heater by Paraheeter. Remote control. Indoor/Outdoor. IP65 Waterproofing. 1500W. Wall, ceiling, tripod mounted. Black.I ordered this with the intent of installing it in my garage. While my garage door is insulated, it still gets pretty cold in there in the dead of winter. What I noticed straight away is that the electric cord is relatively short at just 6 feet in length. This greatly reduces where you can place it without the use of an extension cord. A bit of an inconvenience, but not enough to offset the portability of the tripod.I went with an infrared heater on purpose because of my needs. So what is infrared, and how effective is it? Simply put, infrared heat is radiated heat. Unlike comfort heating from your furnace (where the air is heated then circulated throughout your home via fans and vents), infrared heat acts like the sun and does NOT heat the air. Instead, when the heat waves makes contact with an object heat energy is released regardless of the ambient air temperature, and the object begins to heat up. Think about the sun hitting your face, after a few moments, your face feels hot, and eventually you will sweat. This is because the suns rays are radiating heat and hitting you with it.So is it effective? Well for my purposes, it’s exactly what I need. I’m not out to heat up my garage, I don’t plan on living in it, but I do want to stay warm when it’s extremely cold. Having a radiant heater will also allow me to be in the garage with bundling up.The buttons on the unit are touch buttons, and the unit also comes with a remote which is super convenient. So far I’ve only used it on the low setting, and it works great. It heats up the area that I’m in and the waves are like sunshine warming me up!This infrared heater by Paraheeter heats up quickly. My garage is 12 feet high the heat emitted from this unit easily travels the 6 feet I keep from it. This unit by Paraheeter has two heat settings, a 900W setting and a 1500W setting. It also has a few safety features like overheat protection which will auto shut off if it reaches too high an operating temperature, and tip-over protection for when it’s tripod mounted.A couple of notables about this unit is that it heats up really fast, within a few seconds. You may notice some burning smell when you first use it, but that’s normal and the smell will subside with subsequent usages. But the offset to this fast heating is that this unit is a little pig! If you’re going to install this and wire it, be sure to hook it up to a 20A or larger line (generally speaking a line will hold about 80% of its capacity, so a 20A line will support about 16 amps. The unit is rated for outdoor use, but I don’t know if it can withstand the elements (it’s not IP rated.) Lastly, despite it being safe for indoor use, I wouldn’t recommend it. Remember, the infrared waves will heat up anything it comes in contact with. Even in the garage, make sure you don’t have it aimed at your walls where it can dry them out and damage them, same with your vehicles as the heat will damage the clear coat and/or paint job. While you may want to mount it closer to you for more immediate heat, it’s NOT necessary. Remember, the infrared heat waves will travel WITHOUT heating the air and will heat up what it hits or absorbs it.Overall, this is a nice heater. It functions very well, but is a bit of a power hog and uses anywhere from 12.5Amps to 13.63Amps at the 1500W setting (7.5Amps to 8.2Amps at the 900W setting). It heats fast and is exactly what I needed and performs as expected. The last notable I have is the paltry 1-year warranty. Unless you live in Northern Canada, this will be a seasonal heater, and a 1-year warranty means that you’ll get only ONE season of use, so if this unit doesn’t break down during your second season of use, you’re be out the cost of it. Seasonal products should have at least a 2-3 year warranty in my opinion. Despite the need for an extension cord, I love the portability factor of this unit. It’s versatile, effective, and efficient.

Great garage workshop heater
The paraheeter provides a nice bath of heat that cuts through even the worst winters here. One of the things I really like about IR heaters like this is you’re not wasting a ton of energy trying to heat the room, you’re just directing that energy at you and the objects around you. In our uninsulated garage, this is the way to go.Having a remote is a nice perk to this unit, along with the dual settings. I have it mounted to the joists, making turning it on and off or adjusting settings impossible without a ladder.Heat output is essentially instantly effective, as would be expected with this type of heater. It is fairly space efficient and covers a modest area. The area it heats grows with distance, but the amount of heat you feel drops off. Think of it like a flashlight. If you place this a ways off and expect it to still heat you 20 feet away you’ll find it less effective because it’s directing infrared energy towards a larger area at that distance.At around $100 I wouldn’t say it’s bad value, infrared heaters like this can go for a lot more. Recommended!

Excellent heater for outdoor or indoor
An outdoor heater allows one to enjoy the outdoors later in the day, and at lower outdoors temperature. Gas/propane heaters are very in, but they take space. We were looking for a small heater, but powerful which won’t take much space and won’t be noisy. That excluded all the electric heater which use fans. Another feature of this heater was to have mobility. There are many times when we don’t want to heat up the whole house, or all the rooms. A space heater which can be directed towards a small area was needed.This heater can be mounted on the wall, taking zero floor real estate, has a remote control, two heat settings and it has radiant heat – no fan/noisy mechanism involved. More importantly, this heater can be mounted on the supplied tripod, creating the needed mobility/portability. It has two settings for maximum heat (1500W) and lower (900W). Setting and on/off can be controlled by the remote.It was easy to assemble, see pictures. And one can adjust the angle. Note that once the angle is adjusted, any new readjustment has to be performed only after the unit cools down. The tripod makes the unit a bit heavy and you place it, adjust the height, angle, and then turn it on.It did all what was expected from it, no noise, lots of heat. For localized heating, this is a perfect solution. FYI, since this heater has a tip-over cutoff switch I wasn’t worried of mounting it on a tripod.I tested the tip-over cutoff switch and indeed, if you kick and drop the heater all the way to the floor, it will shut itself automatically.The only drawback is that the remote has a very limited angle of effectivity. One needs to point it perpendicular to the right-angled side where the switch is.

Good heat, not sure about the tripod bracket
This comes as two separate boxes: a nicely packaged heater for wall-mounting, and a brown-box tripod intended to mate with the hardware. The heater seems to work well, simple functional remote. The tripod is very sturdy. The tripod mount made to fit the heater’s brackets is a little iffy. I had a hard time getting it tight enough by hand to keep the heater from pivoting downward. The brackets have divots that are tightened into ridges on the tripod mount to adjust the angle (they fit into holes on the wall brackets if the heater is wall mounted). This whole works goes together with wing nuts, but this tensioner bolt on the tripod mount/bracket involves screwing a wing nut onto a socket head bolt so it’s hard to get tightened without tools. This ONE bolt both secures the mount to the tripod shaft and secures the angle of the heater. I think this would work well enough if properly tightened, but I’d definitely recommend using some pliers and a hex key when you put it together. Plus, this single, very critical bolt is not very big either, so don’t OVER tighten it!

Works pretty good
The shipping was fast and everything came packaged good. There is a tripod base and it is sturdy. This heater comes with a remote. The downfall is you need the remote I’m order for this to work. The heat supplied is decent. It doesn’t have any type of blower so your not going to get tons of heat circulating around. I use this inside of my gazebo which does work pretty well to keep the inside warm. I’m not sure about how well this would work on an patio cause like I said earlier. There is no blower so if it’s windy outside I wouldn’t think you would get a lot of heat.

Good stationary heat
This is a great heater for a single area. It was really easy to put together (*remember to remove the black foam from the bulb!*), and I was up and running in under 10 minutes, 5 of which was spent cleaning the bulb because I forgot to remove the black shipping foam before turning it on. The remote works well, but sometimes needs to be at a particular angle for the heater to register it. The included tripod is a nice add, and is pretty beefy.The heat the unit puts out is essentially a 9 foot by 6 foot area directly in front of it. There’s no blower, so it’s not going to heat a garage (as an example), but if you’re sitting outside on your patio in the winter inside that 9×6 area, you’re going to be nice and toasty. It’s essentially just a big heating element, so the closer you are, the warmer you will be. If you’re looking to warm a larger area, you might want to consider something with a blower, but if you have a smaller area and are concerned with noise, this would be the way to go. I hope this was helpful – I’d definitely recommend this heater over most others.

Good heat output, but needs an option to go vertical. Pricey.
This heater puts out a good deal of heat, and it seems to be fairly well made. It has outer flanges that remain cool enough to grab so you can reposition the heater even when it’s been on full blast for a while. Just don’t touch it anywhere in the center.The remote control works but it’s somewhat finicky. You may need to press the button more than once, and it must be in standby before you can go to low or high. It also doesn’t allow you to go from the low or high level to standby, and instead goes straight to off, but that’s fairly trivial. You just have to go from off to standby before turning it on low or high heat.There are situations where you will want the heat coils to be vertical, but you can’t do that with the tripod and other hardware provided. You’ll have to wall mount it for that. As with any similar heater, you must be careful with placement to avoid fire hazards.At $160 I think it’s a bit expensive for what you’re getting, so only 3 stars for this. You could buy two 1500 watt heaters of various types and still have money left over versus buying one of these.

We have a large Deck that we like to hang out on, but it gets very cold here in the winter, so I needed something safe, but something that would heat up a decent area. This was easy to put together, the tripod attachment set is pretty straightforward.The tripod is pretty sturdy and stable, it doesn’t wobble and doesn’t feel like it will tip over. I feel pretty safe once it is standing.I use this regularly in my garage where I ride my spin bike, and during the winter months it’s freezing in there. This heats me up pretty quick then I turn it off after I get warmed up from my workout.I also used it out in the backyard when we have friends sitting around a fire pit. The fire pit is nice but doesn’t really warm everyone up enough. This does the job.Easy to build, easy to use. Keeps you warm indoors or outdoors. I haven’t even used the remote control but it’s nice to have.Turn on the heat.

Lots of mount options.
This is a nice heater, and fits its purpose. This will not do much for you outside if you are not close. Think of it like a campfire. On a recent evening in the high 20’s, it kept the three of us warm. We were sitting in camping chairs side by side, and we were about 6’ from the heater. Fairly weather resistant, and can be permanently mounted. We used the included and very sturdy tripod. Works well for us.

Affordable Outdoor heater
This outdoor heater comes in 2 packages. One is the tripod, and the other is the heater itself. The heater can be mounted on the wall, it comes with screws and tools. I think it is a hassle to drill holes on the wall, it is the best to put on a tripod and it come moves around as needed. The assembling for the trip was fast, under 5 mins. The heater gets hot within seconds. It has 2 settings , low or high. The button is on the heater. The temperature is hot to use it outdoor. Overall, this heater is affordable and it gets the job done.

OMG where has this been all my life
Being from SoCal, we spend a lot of time outdoors. But living close to the beach, it does get chilly as soon as the sun goes down. We frequently find ourselves outdoors, sitting around wrapped in blankets. I ordered this as soon as it showed up and do not regret it at all. It was very easy to set up. We did not mount it on the wall, instead we stand it close to us and move it around as needed. Everyone who has come over has commented that they want one. Very happy I ordered it.

Great Heater for your outdoor area
We could feel the heat on “LOW” for over 5 feet away. Even farther on high. We love that it has a remote so if we need to adjust power, we dont have to get up. Very easy to set up and works amazing
