Helpful Hints For Usage
Remove pets and children from area during treatment. Allow back to the treatment area only after area has completely dried. If pets eats grass, keep them off of the treated grass for 24 hours after treatment.
For use on lawns, thoroughly wet down grass a few hours before applying.
Can be applied at any time of day.
Do not water the treated area to the point of run off.
Do not make applications during rain.

So So Squirt
We followed the instructions to a T being under attack from a massive mosquito season. There was not only double the mosquitoes this year but four different kinds. Usually we just have little gray mosquitoes in SoCal this year we had what we called black kamikaze, cuz they won’t quit till you kill him. There was some that had splattered spots all over their body and even their wings! I’ve never seen them. Anyway we did a double dose of this all over the front and backyard. We paid attention to the square footage and everything. It seemed to knock them down to 50%. But when you’ve got double the mosquitoes 50% ain’t much LOL. I’m sorry to say this product was a wash in my book it does not do what the labels claim it does not kill anything on contact because they were laughing at us. Oh well maybe somebody else will have some better luck. I’m not going to buy it again

The Good and the Bad
First, the bad:Like most other people leaving bad reviews, the first bottle I hooked up wasted about ten minutes of my time before I noticed that none of the bug killer was leaving the bottle as I sprayed around the yard. In fact, the on/off dial came right off, spraying the junk all over the place and on me, until I was able to get it back and turned “on.” But it would not spray the bug killing ingredients.Soooo, I hooked up another bottle to the hose and it worked fine. I found that all you need to do is keep the working sprayer (if you have one that works) hooked up to the hose and just change out the bottles, hooking a new full bottle to the sprayer part that you keep hooked to the hose.Is this a bit of a pain? Well, not really, because you’d have to unhook a used up bottle and connect a new one anyhow. Should they work without having to do this? Yes. So shame on the manufacturers for making a bottle/sprayer that does not do what it should…guaranteed. Truly pitiful.Now, the good:I used to use this product a day before backyard parties and have never had mosquitoes at any of my parties. But a couple days ago, I decided to spray all around my house (grass, slate walkway, mulch, leaves, bushes). Today I walked around the entire yard and stone patio, and to my astonishment did not see even one ant or creepy crawly of any kind. This seems totally impossible. Because I live in the country, where there are at least 5 deer grazing at any one time, a dozen squirrels, moles, raccoons, turkeys, chipmunks…you name it, I got it. And my house is right next to Limestone Creek and covered with hundreds of trees, so it’s basically Bug Central. But today…NOTHING. Not a bug of any kind. On this walkaround, I would expect to see probably 200-300 ants easy. Today? Not one. I don’t know why I didn’t use Bug-Free Backyard as a general bug maintenance program before.So if you get a bottle that will work properly, keep the sprayer portion and use that one for your other bottles. Do that and this product is pretty much a lock to make your yard and your summers totally bug free.

Works for about 3 weeks
For temporary treatments. I highly recommend. For long term treatments. Find another brand. This is good for preparing for parties. Easy to use. Last for roughly 3 weeks. I’m just not a fan of needing to repeat treatment every 3 weeks. The price is reasonable though

Great product and worked well
I used this last summer and it worked great for a really big tree in the front yard. The tree has a phase producing sweet substance on leaves and ends up covered with wasps from the entire neighborhood – all species – hundreds. This attaches to hose and sprays really high. I was able to treat almost the entire tree. It wiped out most of them – there were a still some around but I didn’t need to keep spraying – no longer really at a problem level. It didn’t use that much product – there is still plenty in the container for next year.

Since I live in Az. you would think mosquitos would not be a problem
but we have had so much rain this year, they are bad. This does not have a strong scent like I remember from other sprays and the fact that you simply attach it to your hose means no mixing. Seems to work for at least a week, which is great!.

Works instantly…for about 6 weeks
I’m pleased with this product and it does work, but not for 12 weeks. I not only spray the lawn & bushes, but about 4ft up my house & around doors & windows, and patio. Keeps bugs away from areas and even from flying in the house as you open doors. I use about a 1/2 bottle per application, so I don’t mind the 5 minute spray every 6 weeks instead of 12. Experience has been within the winter months in Florida. Summer experience may vary.

Kills bees be careful
I bought this as part of my approach to fleas my pet has. I wanted something that would hopefully hang around a bit and kill those little buggers.I understood it could kill bees (and other beneficial insects) so I applied after midnight and tried not to spray any flowers.A day or two later I see a bumble bee trying to fly but not really going up just bouncing between the grass. I guess it got must have landed on the grass.If I didn’t have an active flea problem I’d probably try something more natural and that was less harmful to bees. I just don’t want to have to overly apply something more natural every time it rains.It didn’t seem to effect Box Elder bugs much or ants. Neither were my target insect. There are better poisons for both. Ants for instance you want something they take to the queen.The amount of flys are reduced some the next day. Still working on the fleas but I think this isn’t the issue.

I really wanted to go the natural route with those mosquito dunkers that were all over tiktok, but they simply didn’t work and actually exacerbated the mosquito problem in the backyard by providing bountiful still water for mosquito breeding, it got so bad that I couldn’t go outside without being fully covered. I found this very late into summer, pretty much the end and after spraying all over and waiting a few hours it did the job very well immediately and seemed to have killed off all the mosquitos.I give 4 stars because it is a very toxic pesticide and while I’m so glad the mosquitos are FINALLY under control, I am very sad about the other helpful insects this has killed, bees in particular. DO NOT SPRAY THIS NEAR OR ON YOUR GARDENS, it will decimate the insects that create a healthy ecosystem for your backyard.This is a last resort item, it will do the job but it is not perfect.

I’ve been looking for something to stop the masqutoes. I knew there was a product out there but none of our stores had it in stock. I stumbled across this on Amazon and thought hmmm I think that’s it , lets try it.. I read the directions but I still wasn’t sure if spraying in the morning was better then night. So I sprayed at night when the sun was just going down. I know it has to dry before the dogs go on it, trust me they wanted nothing to do with the grass for about an hour. They sniffed and said nope, back in the house they went.Omg this really works.. I sprayed the yard, shrubs and flowers 2 hrs ago. No kidding.. I haven’t been able to sit outside without off on for 20 yrs. I’m now sitting outside, after my shower, with no off on. This is amazing. Now I’m not sure how long it will last. My weather is pretty hot with no rain for the next week. So let’s see how it works after the 1st rain fall. But I will have no problem at all spraying this again after the rain. I still have half the bottle.I did avoid my vegetable garden. It does says not safe for that… however I do have a critter or critters living in their condo under/ in my raised beds. They keep throwing my compost out lol. I bury it and they unbury it to the side of the box. … Any suggestions?

Salvation for Delicious People
I have always had the dubious honor of being the only person in a group that will get relentlessly fed on by mosquitos. My friends will have no idea there are even blood suckers in the area while I’m getting eaten alive. Well now I live in the woods of Oregon and the problem is even worse. I have a travel trailer on a permanent site and things are especially bad on the heavily wooded side where my hookups are. Anytime I have to tend to my tanks, it is hell on earth. I also have a screen house so that I can be outside in peace but I have to get to and from the darn thing. It is like running the mozzie gauntlet to traverse the 15 ft to safety. I finally got fed up of smelling like DEET and citronella constantly so I got this spray. Super easy to disperse and I sprayed down all of the trees and ground within reach of the hose. Went outside a few minutes later to work on some quick projects and….nothing. I cut and sanded a few boards, raked my gravel, did a few other things and did not get one. single. bite. Not even a buzzy fly by. I have never known this kind of freedom in this area, especially in the evening. I don’t care if I have to re-treat weekly, it is worth it. I didn’t even use 1/4 of the bottle (I bought 3 just in case) and it took less than 10 minutes. I need to get a longer hose so I can increase the radius but I am very literally a happy camper right now. The only thing that is a negative is that it affects bee populations. Of course I am concerned about that but I am also highly allergic to them so, selfishly, I won’t mind them not being in my immediate proximity. As I mostly see yellow jackets and not a lot of bees in the area, I’m hoping it keeps the YJs away and the bees are okay.

It WORKS like magic! But not for as long as advertised.
Each time I’ve used it, I saw no bugs and had no bug bites for 2-ish weeks.Although a far cry from the “up to 12 weeks” statement, this has been nothing short of a miracle for me!I honestly hate summer. I can’t be outside for more than 5 minutes without getting at least one bite, not to mention the heat.But when we moved into a house with a pool, the previous owner had a half full bottle of Cutter left in the shed, so I figured why not and sprayed around the backyard and pool a couple days before having a pool party, and voila! No bugs, no mosquitoes, no bug bites! A few guests mentioned it as well, saying they hadn’t seen a single bug flying around. It was a perfect way to have an outdoor party with no one slapping at their skin, waving their hands around, or scratching themselves.Sure, it only lasted about 2 weeks each time (I guess it depends on if/how much it rains?), but for someone like me who can’t go minutes without bites this is a Godsend!It seems to take a while to empty the bottle as well, as I’ve used it liberally on my mid-size backyard 3 times and the half-used bottle the prior owner left still has enough for at least a couple more sprays.You just attach it to your hose and turn the hose on when you’re ready. It comes with an on/off lever so you don’t have to worry about it starting to spray as soon as you turn the hose on.I don’t have pets at home so I can’t attest to anything in regards to that, but at minimum I’d wait at least a few hours before letting any pets outside in the sprayed area.I’ve tried everything else, including citronella candles, the spiral coil thing, the thermacell, high pitch frequency things, Off spray, bracelets, etc but none had major and consistent results.100% recommend Cutter!

So far, so good (aka NO MOSQUITOES!!!)
I live in Florida, very close to a little freshwater creek, in an old-growth neighborhood. It’s a mosquito Mecca! Even worse, they’re the Asian Tiger Mosquitoes. Every time I go outside, even for a few minutes I get eaten alive. If I know I’m going outside for a little while I will put on bug repellent, light colored long sleeve shirt and pants. It’s Florida in the summer so, as you can imagine, it’s really hot and to have long sleeves and pants on with big spray is a nasty, sweaty mess and I still get bit! If I just go outside for a couple of minutes in “regular” clothes, it’s a mosquitopocalypse (as in at least 20 bites in under 5 minutes). While hiding out inside, I started to research ways to control mosquitoes. Every thing from coils to those crazy expensive machines that use propane. Nothing got particularly good reviews when it came to mosquitoes. I came across the Cutter yard spray and most people said it worked on them (mosquitoes, not people) and it was reasonably priced so I thought I would try it. I went out and sprayed everything- grass, bushes, trees, dirt, plants, walls, decking, you name it. I gave everything a pretty good coating (cover up, wear closed shoes, gloves, eye covering and a mask- it’s pretty noxious) and let it dry for several hours. I then went out in shorts and a tank top to offer myself as a human sacrifice to test for mosquitoes. It was surprisingly bug free! I just sprayed today so I can’t speak for longevity and I’m going to go outside this evening when they are usually at their worst to check again, but so far, so good (actually, I would say great!). I will update my review with longer term results if needed.

Did not kill the fleas
My friend swears by Cutter so I tried it. And after 2mths and multiple applications, I still had major flea issue. Cutter did not work for my yard. I ended up buying granules in a different brand and the defense spray for the perimeter of the house….so far that has worked.

Y mira que ha llovido! Todos los días a llovido en Florida y no dejo de funcionar. Los 3 o 4 primeros días funcionó pero muy poco. No se si es pq mi esposo lo hecho mal pq le quedo mas de la mitad en el pomo. Lo hecho una segunda vez a los dos dias y siguió igual. Esa segunda vez le quedó la mitad del pomo. Yo lo he heche la última vez y me gaste el pomo entero, la mitad que quedaba (siempre lo hicimos con la manguera del agua como dicen las instrucciones) y FUNCIONÓ! No mas mosquito en buen tiempo. Ya han pasado como 3 semanas y aún así no hay mosquitos. Ya hasta hoy para mi el precio valió. Aunque tuviera que comprar y hechar otro otra vez. Era desesperante la situación con los mosquitos aquí. Lo heche en cada hoja de las matas, hasta el tope de arriba de los árboles altos, en las paredes de la casa por fuera, en todo el piso del patio, en TODO. Estuvimos llamando cada 10 días a la ciudad antes de descubrir esto para que fulminara y venían, duraba esa noche bastante, no como esto, pero al otro día llovía y los mosquitos otra vez. Era horrible!

Why was I living with mosquitoes for all these years when I could have just been using THIS?!?!?!?!?
Well don’t I feel STUPID. I had NO IDEA that something like this even existed. I received a card in the mail advertising a mosquito spraying service, the very same day that I saw the first mosquito flying around outside my front porch. The card said they could keep my entire property mosquito-free for the ENTIRE summer! I called, very excited at the thought of not being eaten alive every time I stick my big toe out the front door. After a wonderful conversation with the sales rep, I ran into the house and said, “DAD!! CAN WE SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE?? IT’S ONLY $600!! THEY’RE HAVING A SALE!!”. He looked at me like I was crazy and said, “We can just spray ourselves for like $10, why would we throw $600 out the window?” I called the rep back and said, “Well, my dad said we can just do it ourselves for $10. Can you tell me why your service is better than just doing it ourselves?” To that he replied, “It’s because we use a very special polymer technology in our spray that stays on throughout storms and winds. The sprays you get at the store don’t have that, so they only last a few days and you have to constantly be re-spraying.” Soooooo… I came to amazon to see if I could find a spray with the polymer additive LOL. Well guess what! THIS STUFF I’m reviewing here has blown my mind! It has lasted A MONTH, through an entire WEEK of torrential rain, through windy weather, through everything! My summers used to be absolutely RUINED by mosquitoes, and I used to think, “Wow, if only there were NO mosquitoes, I would be able to have the best time out here” as I stepped from side to side, walked in circles, shook and flailed about like I was having uncontrollable spasms.. all to try to keep the swarm of mosquitoes off of me. Whenever I would have company over, I would be relieved for a brief period of time because all of the mosquitoes would be busy biting them instead of me. Pretty awful. There would be 13 or 14 of them zzzZZZZzzzzing around anyone who sat on my front porch for even 5 seconds. Even sitting in my car – a good 30 some odd feet away from the bushes in the front of my house, they would hone in on me in a matter of 30 seconds. I couldn’t even sit out there with the windows open. To get away from them, I’d have to walk out into the middle of the road, maybe 50 – 60 ft from my front door. Needless to say, they were BAD!!!!!!! Alllll summer long. Now, after buying this spray, I feel so stupid for having endured such torture for so long. All my life, really. So many more moments I could have spent outside, so much less ‘moving’ I could have been doing while I was out there, so much less bug spray I could have put on, so many fewer mosquito bites I could have needed to deal with…. when all I needed to do was to hook a bottle up to the hose three or four times over the course of the whole summer. Wow. Just wow.

Be careful of the bees
I only use this on my grass. I keep it off my fruit trees, grapes, veggies, and blackberries, Anything that is going to attract bees. Works great for fleas, ticks, and ground born mosquitos. My dogs appreciate that.

Better than hiring someone
Why waste money on a company that’s going to send someone every three months and charge you $65 to $120 when you can just hook this baby up and spray your own yard mosquito free for 3 months or at least until it rains. It’s only 10 mins of your life but so worth it.

This Stuff Works
It’s great and easy to use. I live in condo complex where they “spritz” for mosquitos. Of course they are never gone with a spritz. So I purchased hooked the hose to it and sprayed away. It works, will continue to use as the only way to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes here.

Too effective ?
I bought this we live in apartment, so technically no yard , but I bought it mainly because there was too many mosquitos at the front door , and I also saw how cheap this was , so I just pour some of this product on a separate empty bottle sprayer put a little bit of this plus the rest water 💦, then sprayed at the front door 🚪 and this thing was insanely powerful I breathed all those chemicals felt I was almost like chocking like I couldn’t breath properly I almost call 911 but started to feel better went inside drank some water went by the balcony door to breath fresh air went back from door in an hour and now the smell wasn’t as strong than when I first sprayed it , so hope this experience of mine can helps others to be careful this is affective yes but is not joke take all the necessary caution ⚠️🙏🏽 please ! Because they next day there was very little smell of this product and magically zero mosquitos 🦟💯💪🏽👍🏼

It’s great when the sprayer works.
This is a review for Cutter brand of backyard bug control in the hose attached sprayer packaging. I have used the Cutter spray for about 5 years. The first two years I bought from a local store here in northern Wisconsin. We have mosquitos and if you’ve spent time here you know that is an understatement. The Cutter did a fantastic job in protecting my large yard that is heavily wooded around the perimeter. 2 bottles twice per summer did great job. Then I started having trouble with the product precipitating out solids that would plug the spray tube and the sprayer itself. This turned a half hour job into 3 hours of frustration. Just to add insult to injury the product didn’t work (maybe it is the active ingredient that is precipitating out). I thought maybe it had gotten frozen in a warehouse or during shipping and this caused the solids (Active ingredient???) to precipitate out. So I continued to buy Cutter. The next 6 or so bottles I bought both locally and from Amazon had the same issue. So now I’ve thrown away $60 – $70 dollars. I tried using a small filter/strainer from another sprayer. This kept the sprayer from plugging but the solids didn’t get through and the results on mosquitoes were not good. I tried other products but none worked as well as the Cutter did so I kept going back. My next two pack of cutter worked great again. No problems with the solids plugging the spray tube and great results. This year I have purchased 3 bottles of Cutter from Amazon and 2 locally. One of the 5 worked properly. Additionally, bought 3 of the Spectracide `once and done’ brand of backyard bug control in the same hose attached sprayer packaging. The packaging is identical except for the color. I believe that they are the same company. The spectracide sprayed great. No solids plugging the sprayer. However, it did not control mosquitos nearly as effectively as the cutter branded product. I tried using the spectracide sprayer on the cutter bottle but still plugged as I expected given that the packaging appears to be identical. My summation is that the Cutter works great if you get a package in which the active ingredient stays in solution. Those packages appear to be few and far between.Just an addition to my review. I have taken pictures of the solids after using the strainer on the sprayer feed tube to spray out the product. There is a considerable amount of white solids left in the bottle after the rest is gone.

Okay, this stuff works!! Finally an end to summer sadness!!
We have a terrible gnat issue. We do not live on a wooded plot of land, but we do have an area of “woods” behind our lot. We didn’t notice any issues with gnats when we were looking at the house back in November 2022, but when Spring/Summer hit in 2023, oh boy 🙁 They were beyond annoying! You couldn’t step outside for 5 mins without being swarmed by them. Couldn’t enjoy working or playing in the yard at all.But this product is a miracle worker!! Application is a breeze. Attach your hose and off you go. We made one application a day ago, and didn’t have any issues with gnats! This product has brought back enjoyment to our lives in the warmer weather and we couldn’t be happier!

Kills roaches & keeps mosquitos away!
This is an awesome & in expensive supplemental spot treatment we spray around the perimeter of the house to keep mostly roaches out; between bi-annual professional bug treatment that can be costly. Great for tropical weather environments that have giant roaches & vicious blood sucking mosquitos. Great product at great price, especially when it’s on sale for under $9.00!

Mosquitoes in front and back yard GONE!
After the California rain, I’ve noticed an alarming amount of mosquitoes just flying in my grass in both front and back yard even after mowing it down. I even tried sprinkling coffee grounds as directed on Google search lol. Decided that will just take too long to do and stumbled across this product. Was little skeptical because after I sprayed, the mosquitoes were still sticking around. The next day, most of them were gone. I see maybe 2 here and there but I can finally walk outside without these things swarming around me. Some looked like they were mating and wasn’t going to have it. Glad I came across this. One of these bottles treated both front and backyard lawns on a 6000 sqft lot. I still have some leftover in my first bottle. Will definitely treat the grass again at a later date. It works!

I sprayed my whole yard, back, both sides and front. Still had a little left over. I bought two bottles. So I have enough to do later this year. Dogs not chewing on themselves. That says it all.A+A+A+

No gnats for the whole summer
I’ve used this Cutter backyard spray for a couple of years now. I usually spray the yard in May and again around the end of August. Those pesky gnats never bother me with this stuff around. Recommended!
